At its core, Rise Collective is a social initiative which believes in access to dignified employment and skill development to be accessible, inclusive and always in response to the lived realities of disabled women from underprivileged backgrounds. This project aims to address the gaps in employment access by paying focus on skilling and alternate employment models which are often overlooked within the conventional labour market.
Rise Collective aims to strengthen the link between the grassroots organisations, disability-aware employers, and established skilling providers. It aims to achieve this through targeted research, structured training programmes, and by creating enabling infrastructures. This initiative will work to bridge the gap between skill acquisition and meaningful employment. Alongside this, the project aims to bring forward the voices of disabled women who remain at the margins of society by engaging with them to better understand the social barriers they face in socio-economic integration.
